Coach guide

Everything you need to set up your listing and get enquiries.

Getting started

Choose a plan on the For coaches page and pay by card. You land in your dashboard straight away. To log in again later, go to Coach login and enter the email you paid with. We email you a link: there is no password to remember.

Two things put you in search: your postcode and your category. Add those first and you are live. Then say who you coach, children, adults or both, as people can filter by it. Everything else can follow at your own pace, and saves as you go.

Your listing, step by step

Your details

The name on your listing can be your own name or your coaching business. Your postcode decides which area you appear in and is never shown: your page shows a map of your postcode district, not your address.

Category

Pick the category that best describes your coaching. Each plan includes one category, and you can switch at any time.

Your photo or logo

One image: a clear, well-lit headshot or your logo. It shows on your card in search and on your page. Do not use photos of children or of the people you coach.

Prices

Up to 12, for example a single one-to-one session, a block of sessions or a small-group session. Your first price is shown as your "From" price in search, so put your standard one-to-one session first.

Highlights

Tick up to 6 that are true of your coaching. They show on your page, and on your Spotlight card if you book one.

Offer through OneTo1

An optional offer, like "First session half price". It shows on your card in search. If you add one, you must honour it for anyone who enquires while it is showing.

Reviews

Link to your Google, Facebook or Trustpilot page and enter your rating and number of reviews. We check them against the page, then show your star rating. If you change them, we check again.

DBS and qualifications

People compare these first. If you coach children, parents look for a DBS check, and anyone can filter search to show DBS checked coaches only.

Your DBS check

In your dashboard, under Safeguarding and qualifications, choose your check type (enhanced DBS, PVG in Scotland, or enhanced AccessNI in Northern Ireland) and add your certificate number and date of issue. Tick the box if you are on the DBS Update Service: it lets us check your certificate online, with your consent, and is the quickest way to get your badge.

Your certificate details are private. Only you and the OneTo1 team can see them. Once we have checked your certificate, a DBS checked badge appears on your listing with the date we checked it. If you change your details, the badge comes off until we check again.

Your coaching qualification

Add your highest coaching qualification, for example an award from the governing body for what you coach. It shows on your page straight away, marked as not verified until we have checked your certificate. Have a copy ready in case we ask for it.

Getting more enquiries

  • If you coach children, get your DBS badge. Many parents will only contact coaches who have one.
  • Write an opening that says who you coach and how: ages, levels and what a session looks like. The first lines show in search.
  • Show a price. Coaches with a clear "From" price get more enquiries, and people filtering by budget only see coaches who show one.
  • Reply quickly. Enquiries come to your email and say who the coaching is for and, for a child, their age.
  • Link your reviews. A verified rating shows on your card in search.

Plans and billing

Plans and prices are on the For coaches page. Annual coaches are shown first in their category and get a Featured badge. You can update your card, see invoices or cancel from your dashboard. If you cancel, your listing comes down at the end of the period you have paid for.

To appear in another category as well, add a second listing with its own plan using the same email, and switch between them in your dashboard.

Common questions

Can I list without a DBS check?

Yes. If you coach children, your page tells parents we have not seen one, and we strongly recommend getting an enhanced DBS check before you coach any child through OneTo1.

I coach in more than one area.

You are listed in the area your postcode is in. Contact us if you regularly coach in a neighbouring area.

Do you take a cut of my sessions?

No. You pay for your listing and keep everything you earn from the sessions you book.

How do I change my login email?

Contact us and we will move your listing to the new email.
