Message them direct
Send an enquiry saying who the coaching is for and, for a child, their age. The coach replies to your email and you arrange sessions with them.
What our checks mean
DBS checked
The coach has given us the details of an enhanced DBS check (or PVG in Scotland, or AccessNI in Northern Ireland), and we have checked the certificate, using the DBS Update Service where the coach is registered with it. The date we checked it is shown on their profile.
Qualification verified
We have checked the coaching qualification shown, such as an award from the governing body for that kind of coaching. A qualification the coach has added but we have not yet checked is clearly marked as not verified.
Verified reviews
Star ratings come from the coach's Google, Facebook or Trustpilot page. We check the rating against that page before it shows, and link to it so you can read the reviews yourself.
What the checks do not cover
Our checks confirm what we have seen at the time we checked it. We do not employ coaches, supervise sessions or guarantee anyone's conduct. You choose your coach, so please use your own judgement too.
- Ask to see the coach's qualification, and for a child their DBS certificate, before the first session.
- For a child, stay and watch the first few sessions. Meet somewhere public, like a club, leisure centre or park.
- Agree prices and cancellation terms with the coach before you pay.
- If anything about a coach worries you, tell us. If a child is in danger, call 999.

Local coaches only
Coaches are listed in the area they are based in, taken from their postcode, so the list is genuinely local.
Free to use
Searching and sending enquiries is free. You pay the coach direct for sessions, at the price you agree with them.
Your details stay private
Only the coach you contact sees your name and email. We never ask for your child's name.
No paid-for reviews
Ratings come from independent review sites and are checked by us. Coaches cannot pay to change them.
